Ways to Get Involved with the WSCGA Foundation

The WSCGA Foundation Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is responsible for the overall viability and the oversight of the business affairs of the WSCGA Foundation.  With the help of the WSCGA Executive Director, the Board of Trustees develops policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of the Foundation, and monitors the Foundation's financial health, programs and overall performance.  The Trustees meet, minimally, on a quarterly basis.

Volunteers
For those interested in a more casual way to help the WSCGA Foundation can consider becoming a volunteer.  In addition to the Board of Trustees, the WSCGA Foundation needs people willing to volunteer their time for Foundation-specific projects.  Without the help of volunteers, many of the projects and events the Foundation has already accomplished, as well as future opportunities, would not be possible. Areas in need of volunteers include:

The WSCGA Foundation Charity Golf Fundraiser
Volunteers are needed to help with sponsorship, auctions and raffles, and event preparation.  Volunteers are also needed at the event to help with set-up, clean-up, and on-course contests.

WSCGA Foundation Outreach
Help spread the word and educate others about the WSCGA Foundation in your area.  Speak at local clubs and help distribute information about the WSCGA Foundation.

WSCGA Foundation Support
Help with miscellaneous tasks like equipment donation pick-up and database upkeep…  All of the tasks that need to be accomplished to keep the Foundation running smoothly and efficiently.
Anyone interested in volunteering for the Foundation can download a Volunteer Form and mail/email/fax the information to the WSCGA Foundation Office:

About the WSCGA Foundation
The WSCGA Foundation, created in 2002 to represent and continue the philanthropic work of the Women’s Southern California Golf Association, is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that supplies outreach to the female and junior golf communities through scholarships, financial grants, equipment donation and program initiatives. The mission of the WSCGA Foundation is to positively impact amateur golf for women and youth by developing and supporting programs, awarding scholarships, sponsoring events and promoting education.

Since its inception, the WSCGA Foundation has positively impacted the female golf community in Southern California through the distribution of scholarships and grants, as well as numerous equipment donations to programs in need.

Today, the Foundation continues to grow and support the female golf community. With your generosity and support, the Foundation creates financial, educational and participation opportunities. Let’s work together to increase the accessibility of the game to women of all ages and skill levels in Southern California. Together, we can foster a lifetime interest in golf and grow the game for future generations of female golfers.
