Individuals

  • Gabriella Then (Upland, San Bernardino County)
    WSCGA Foundation awarded an individual grant to help this very accomplished young golfer participate in the Scott Robinson Memorial Tournament in Virginia this spring. Her grant pays for her entry fee and related tournament expenses.
  • Alexandra Braga (Sun Valley, Los Angeles County)
    Received an individual grant to help with tournament expenses as she attends LPGA Q School. This individual at one time was told she may not walk again. Her story is itself a compelling one.
  • Alison Lee
    Was provided with a WSCGA grant to help with individual tournament expenses for the U.S. Junior Girls' Championship. In January 2012 she won the Annika Invitational in Reunion, Florida, her first invitational championship.

Organizations, Youth Programs, High Schools

  • La Quinta High School
    Coach Gary Nadier has received a grant with which to purchase video equipment to help the girls improve their swing techniques.
  • LPGA-USGA Girls' Golf of Coronado
    Received a grant to help provide access to golf courses and equipment for the girls' program.
  • SCGA Foundation Youth on the Course Program (Los Angeles County)
    Received a grant to provide additional funds in support for this program which provides a very valuable service to young girls in Southern California.
  • Pro Kids Golf Academy of San Diego
    Received a grant to offset some of the costs of the golf program for young girls in the inner city.
  • LPGA-USGA Girls' Golf of El Cajon
    Received a grant in support of a program to bring golf to the middle schools and high schools for those students with disadvantages and to the school district.

The WSCGA Foundation awards annual grants to individuals or organizations/programs that introduce, nurture, sustain and support girls' participation and interest in the game of golf. Grant awards are based on demonstrated need.

Applicants should note grant deadlines of May 15 and October 15 every year. Applications can be considered at other times at the discretion of the Foundation Trustees.
